MARIKO

MARIKO is a practice-oriented maritime research, innovation and development consortium that unites Denmark’s maritime educational institutions in a strategic collaboration. The purpose is to strengthen the green transition digitalization, and technical innovation in the maritime sector through applied research and joint projects.

The initiative is supported by A/S D/S Orient’s Foundation, the Danish Maritime Foundation, and the Lauritzen Foundation and focuses on:

  • Capacity and knowledge building within:
  • Digitalization
  • Green transition
  • Resilience
  • Autonomy
  • Promote cooperation between the maritime institutions, as well as with industry, GTS institutions, interest groups, authorities, universities and other educational institutions.
  • Increase visibility and knowledge of the maritime profession.
  • Actively contribute to an inclusive and sustainable maritime industry.

Members of MARIKO

MARIKO is a joint operation between the maritime institutions under the Maritime Education Network (De Maritime Uddannelser).
